Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments to understand patient needs, preferences, and objectives, then manage a load of up to one individual per hour. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans utilizing manual therapy and exercise prescription to enhance mobility and functional outcomes. Educate patients on self-management strategies, continually evaluate progress to adapt interventions, and document care meticulously. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a PTA to support recovery from sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain. Perform daily hands-on patient care within our 5,000 square-foot sports medicine facility from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Current and active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia
- No prior board actions or disciplinary actions concerning licensure history
- Strong manual therapy skills
- Capability to positively influence patient outcomes through hands-on techniques
- Proficiency in developing effective exercise programs tailored to individual needs and rehabilitation goals
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT
- Prior experience in a physical therapy outpatient setting
- Experience in orthopedics
- Proven skills in working collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
