Job Summary

Evaluate patients in their home environment to understand specific rehabilitation needs, considering individual circumstances such as living conditions and mobility challenges. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and specialized equipment. Utilize measurement tools to assess progress, document responses to treatment, and modify therapy as necessary to align with the evolving health status of each patient. Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on effective techniques for managing recovery and long-term care, including the proper use of assistive devices. Coordinate efforts with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary approach to ensure integrated and effective patient care. Participate in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and staying current with industry research.

Required Qualifications

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  • A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia
  • Strong communication skills—both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in digital documentation systems
  • The ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to the varying needs of patients and their environments

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy or home health care settings
