Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' needs and establish tailored treatment goals for orthopedic rehabilitation. Manage an individual caseload, seeing one patient per hour to provide focused care while developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans. Engage in patient education, promote self-management strategies to reduce reliance on pain medications, and track progress meticulously to adjust plans as necessary. Document all interactions accurately in compliance with regulatory standards and collaborate with multi-disciplinary professionals to create holistic care plans. Serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions across the Miami area in a home care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida
- Strong professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions against the license
- Proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques applicable to orthopedic rehabilitation
- Expertise in designing and implementing exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT
- Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Demonstrated skill in coordinating care with multi-disciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient recovery
- Experience in educating patients on lifestyle modifications to promote long-term health and wellness
