Job Summary
Assess patient movement capabilities and develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans for orthopedic conditions. Manage a patient load of one per hour, implementing manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to facilitate recovery and enhance mobility. Regularly monitor progress, adjust care plans based on evaluative feedback, and document all sessions accurately in electronic medical records. Collaborate with a team of two physical therapists and one PTA to ensure coordinated care for athletes recovering from sports injuries and individuals undergoing post-surgical rehabilitation.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia
- No disciplinary actions or board actions on record affecting licensure
- Exceptional manual therapy skills
- Proficiency in designing exercise programs
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ideally WebPT
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in orthopedic outpatient care
- Demonstrated success in developing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments
- A background in sports medicine or rehabilitation
