Job Summary
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy care for an assigned caseload of orthopedic patients, including adults and children recovering from surgery, injury, or managing chronic pain. Perform thorough assessments to identify needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and conduct ongoing evaluations to adjust interventions based on progress. Provide education to patients and caregivers regarding therapeutic exercises and assistive devices while maintaining accurate documentation of treatment effectiveness. Prioritize caseload management and coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Maintain Virginia licensure and BCLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, to be completed within 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or clinical rotations in orthopedic settings
- Familiarity with physical therapy software and electronic medical records
