Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to determine individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions using manual therapy, exercise regimens, and modalities to mitigate pain and maximize mobility. Document and track patient progress, continuously assessing and modifying treatment plans based on feedback. Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and assistive device use. Collaborate closely with physicians and rehabilitation specialists to formulate integrated care strategies. Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and conferences. Work with a diverse population including children, adults, and seniors in a modern outpatient office setting.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- A current and active state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and multi-disciplinary team members.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software tools.
- The ability to adapt and respond dynamically to the varying needs of patients.
- Commitment to continued learning and professional growth within the field of physical therapy.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working in an outpatient or orthopedic physical therapy setting.
- Familiarity with treatment modalities and rehabilitation techniques specific to orthopedic injuries and surgical recovery.
