Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including detailed postural and functional assessments, to determine specific rehabilitation needs. Craft personalized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities for orthopedic disorders. Engage actively with a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with physicians and occupational therapists to optimize care. Deliver therapeutic interventions on-site or in patients' homes, serve as an educator for families on injury prevention, and document progress meticulously. Work with a diverse population ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients in a collaborative outpatient setting in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Active state licensure in Virginia to practice physical therapy
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in orthopedic physical therapy
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification recognized by the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency in documentation software and electronic health records
- Location in Lynchburg, Virginia
