Job Summary
Conduct in-depth evaluations of patients with functional limitations to inform treatment planning and develop personalized rehabilitation protocols. Perform ongoing assessments of patient progress, modifying treatment strategies to achieve optimal outcomes for orthopedic patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in compliance with regulatory standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary specialists to enhance recovery strategies. Participate in facility meetings and professional development sessions to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the practice.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program
- Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida, issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating an understanding of diverse treatment modalities and rehabilitation techniques
- Current certification in CPR, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, creating integrated treatment plans
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly in documenting patient care while meeting compliance requirements
- Strong background in delivering education and support to patients and families regarding therapy practices and self-management techniques
