Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, utilizing assessment tools to identify unique needs. Develop, implement, and continually update individualized treatment plans that address specific functional goals. Deliver hands-on therapy techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, while instructing patients on proper movements. Generate comprehensive documentation to comply with regulations, submit charges, and track patient progress. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team comprising physicians, nutritionists, and occupational therapists to provide integrated rehabilitation. Participate in staff meetings and continuing education to stay updated on trends. Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote health awareness. Work onsite in a home care setting in Deltona, Florida, serving patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills for documentation, scheduling, and billing processes
- Minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy, specifically within an orthopedic setting
