Job Summary
Assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with rehabilitation goals. Maintain a consistent patient load of approximately one individual per hour, utilizing manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, regularly evaluating treatment effectiveness and documenting progress in EMR software. Motivate patients throughout their recovery journey while promoting lifestyle changes for sustainable wellness. This full-time role includes onsite work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM at our Suffolk, VA orthopedic facility, serving patients recovering from joint surgeries and managing chronic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred) from an accredited program
- Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Suffolk, VA, without any disciplinary actions against the license
- Exceptional manual therapy skills
- A proven ability to develop effective exercise programs tailored to diverse patient needs
- Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, for maintaining accurate patient records
- Strong communication skills that facilitate collaboration with colleagues and build rapport with patients
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Ability to demonstrate successful patient outcomes through innovative treatment plans and motivational strategies
- Experience engaging in multidisciplinary care
