Job Summary
Conduct thorough orthopedic patient evaluations to set measurable goals and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide direct patient care with a manageable caseload of one patient per hour while implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and educating families on self-management strategies. Document sessions meticulously in the WebPT EMR system and monitor treatment effectiveness to adjust strategies based on patient progress. Collaborate with a team of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant to deliver integrated care for individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and mobility impairments. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm in our 5,000-square-foot sports medicine facility.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, free from any disciplinary actions
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and creating tailored exercise programs
- Experience using EMR software, specifically WebPT, to document patient care efficiently
Desired Qualifications
- Previous work experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
