Job Summary
Assess patients to establish goals and develop comprehensive treatment plans, managing a load of one client per hour with focused, individualized care. Utilize therapeutic exercises and manual therapy to foster recovery, while exploring cost-effective options and prioritizing non-surgical interventions. Design custom fitness and wellness plans, document services using evidence-based approaches, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to modify plans for optimal outcomes. Encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to promote a proactive approach to recovery. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM within a collaborative outpatient clinic specializing in orthopedic sports medicine.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Chesapeake, VA without any disciplinary actions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise regimens.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage and motivate patients.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient care is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment to achieve shared goals.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary practice setting is a plus.
