Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations, manage a load of one patient per hour, and provide cost-effective therapeutic interventions to enhance mobility and minimize surgical needs. Develop comprehensive care plans using manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training while motivating patients to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Document all services accurately in the EMR system and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM with a team of two physical therapists and one PTA.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Newport News, VA
- A clean professional record free from board actions or disciplinary measures
- Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques with a strong understanding of rehabilitation principles
- Proficient in developing effective exercise regimens tailored to patient needs
- Competent in utilizing EMR software platforms like WebPT for efficient patient management
