Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individual patient objectives and needs, then manage an average caseload of one patient per hour. Utilize evidence-based practices to create care plans that enhance mobility, employing manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to foster recovery. Design tailored fitness programs, document services meticulously in WebPT EMR, and monitor outcomes to adjust treatment as necessary. Collaborate with a team of two other physical therapists and a PTA to coordinate care for patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid Virginia license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Impeccable professional record with no disciplinary actions or malpractice claims on file
- Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques
- Proficient in developing and implementing effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patients
- Familiarity with WebPT EMR software for efficient patient documentation and management
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and team members
