Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations to assess functional abilities and plan tailored treatment interventions for patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Manage a caseload by providing one-on-one therapy sessions, dedicating approximately one hour per patient to implement evidence-based strategies including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and specialized modalities. Track progress meticulously, document findings, and communicate adjustments to care plans with patients and team members while developing individualized fitness and wellness programs. Work collaboratively within a small team of two physical therapists and one PTA to foster a supportive recovery environment for athletes and individuals seeking to improve mobility.
Required Qualifications
- A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from an accredited institution.
- An active Physical Therapist license in New York state, with no history of disciplinary action.
- Proven experience in orthopedic outpatient care, demonstrating a strong foundation in treating musculoskeletal conditions.
- Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and a strong understanding of exercise programming tailored to individual needs.
- Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, including familiarity with platforms like WebPT.
