Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions, creating comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Deliver effective therapy sessions utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities to alleviate pain and enhance mobility. Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and patient responses. Educate patients, caregivers, and families on safe mobility techniques and home exercises. Utilize electronic documentation systems to maintain accurate records ensuring compliance with legal standards. Participate in regular training and professional development workshops to stay updated on latest practices. Work onsite in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Prince Frederick, MD, with a flexible schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Current and valid Maryland state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to connect with patients and their families
- Proficient in computer software and therapy-related documentation systems
- A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development in the field of physical therapy
Desired Qualifications
- While prior experience in an orthopedic setting is preferred, new graduates with a strong foundational knowledge of physical therapy practices are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and respond to a diverse range of patient needs and treatment plans
