Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine physical capabilities and limitations, then design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability and restoring function. Utilize manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and technological devices to facilitate recovery, while overseeing physical therapy assistants and providing mentorship. Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. Perform home evaluations where necessary and maintain thorough clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Work onsite in our outpatient office Monday through Friday, supporting patients recovering from orthopedic procedures and sports injuries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida
- Two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, particularly in orthopedics or outpatient therapy
- Current CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced training in manual therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, or similar specialties
- Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management
- Proficient in assessing and training patients with the application of prosthetic and orthotic devices
