Job Summary
Develop and implement tailored physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, relieve pain, and enhance recovery from orthopedic conditions following personalized treatment plans. Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical conditions using diagnostic tests, assess home environments for modifications, and provide direct services including manual exercises, traction, and massage. Supervise physical therapy assistants, facilitate interdisciplinary case conferences, and maintain detailed clinical documentation adhering to regulatory standards. Engage with clients and families to instruct them on rehabilitation exercises and care devices. Assist with the fitting and adjustment of orthotic and prosthetic devices while documenting all modifications.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution
- A minimum of one year of professional experience as a physical therapist, specifically in orthopedic or acute care settings
- Current and in-good-standing physical therapy licensure in Maryland
- Valid CPR certification
- A clean driver's license with automobile insurance
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
