Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patients' goals and needs, developing tailored treatment plans for orthopedic clients recovering from surgeries or injuries. Implement manual therapy skills and therapeutic exercises to enhance strength, flexibility, and functional capabilities while seeing 2-3 patients per hour. Educate patients on alternative treatment options and regularly consult with other health professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach. Document patient care services systematically using WebPT EMR software and monitor progress to adjust treatment plans as necessary. Operate onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM within a collaborative team of two physical therapists and one assistant.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution
- A valid physical therapist license in Virginia, with no disciplinary actions on record
- Competency in manual therapy techniques
- A strong foundation in therapeutic exercises
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Familiarity with common treatment practices
- Familiarity with patient management workflows
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT
