Job Summary
Conduct detailed assessments to recognize patient goals and needs, then develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based methods. Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, providing focused care through manual therapy, exercise demonstrations, and therapeutic interventions to maximize recovery. Educate patients on non-surgical alternatives and wellness programs to enhance strength, flexibility, and balance while documenting progress in EMR software. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients recovering from orthopedic issues, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in a state-of-the-art 5,000-square-foot facility serving a diverse population with private insurance.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution
- Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with no board or disciplinary actions against the license
- Strong manual therapy skills
- Proficiency in developing effective exercise routines
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster strong patient relationships and team collaboration
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedic outpatient care
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a strong focus on individualized patient care
- Ability to provide motivational support and patient education regarding treatment options and wellness practices
- Experience developing and implementing innovative, cost-effective treatment plans that aim to improve patient outcomes
