Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care, document progress notes, and charge for treatments daily under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. Assist with paperwork, file charts, and manage billing, correspondence, and file management. Support clinical education of physical therapy assistant students while adhering to state board standards and departmental policies. Requires an active Physical Therapy Assistant license upon hire, with an associate's degree and less than one year of related experience preferred. Full-time or part-time roles with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Active license in the state of practice upon hire
- Ability to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Less than 1 year Related experience and/or training
- Commitment to the daily application of Avera's mission, vision, core values, and social principles to serve patients, their families, and our community
- Compliance with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards associated with, but not limited to, CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA if applicable
