Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents; a two-person married couple lives on-campus in Hershey, PA and provides supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in a home-like environment. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and following a nine-days-on / three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person of $44,768 (approx. $168,000 total per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. drivers license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to reside on-campus as part of a two-person couple
- Ability to follow a schedule including nine consecutive days on duty with three days off
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Capable of living and working with students in a residential setting
