Job Summary
Two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparent roles on Milton Hershey School's on-campus homes, serving groups of about 8–13 students. Couples reside in student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a fixed houseparent assignment in the same student home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided, including medical/dental/vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
