Job Summary
Two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparent roles for Milton Hershey School: married couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, manage routines, medications, transport, and organize developmental/recreational activities; initial nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transition to a Placed Houseparent role with same group of students. Includes relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and housing/meals while on duty. Requires two-year marriage, age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to obtain driver certification, ability to lift 50 lbs, commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, and adherence to Judeo-Christian chapel activities (proselytizing prohibited). For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
