Job Summary
Full-Time Flex Houseparents needed to reside on Milton Hershey School campus in on-site student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel services, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a stable houseparent assignment with a single student home. Compensation per person is $44,768 annually (roughly $168,000 total per couple with free housing and meals), with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Requires a two-person, legally married couple aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with youth; duties include transporting students, supporting spiritual activities, and maintaining a structured, family-like environment on campus.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No strict alcohol use on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
