Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transportation to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and coordinating Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine-on/three-off schedules to the Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
