Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents: married couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and eventually transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person around $44,768 (approx. $168,000 total per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance and paid training, and paid time off. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, two-year married status, age 27+, and suitability to work in a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with limited dependents.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
- Proven experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to complete individual employment applications by both spouses
- Relocation assistance and paid training provided
