Job Summary
Full-Time Flex Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students living in on-campus homes. The role involves supervising household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from an initial nine-on/three-off schedule to a stable placed houseparent assignment. This two-person per-couple position requires a legally married pair, both aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year marriage minimum for both spouses
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No smoking and weapon-free campus; alcohol not permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to family-like on-campus environment
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to reside in on-campus student homes
- Two-person role for couples
- On-duty schedule includes nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off
- Placed Houseparent transition to same student home after initial phase
- High school diploma or GED required
