Job Summary
Two-person married couple full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, residing in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship and guidance, manage daily routines and medications, transport students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with an initial nine-on/four-day-off schedule and eventual placement into a fixed student-home, as part of a role offering relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and housing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
