Job Summary
Full-time, two-person couple residential role at Milton Hershey School in Maple Heights, OH. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a flexible to a placed houseparent role. Requires a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. Requires both spouses to complete individual employment applications and be legally married for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
