Job Summary
Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, budgeting and reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living and working with the same student group. Benefits include salary of $44,768 per person (about $168,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Experience with youth preferred
- Relocation assistance provided
- On-campus housing provided as part of compensation
