Job Summary
Full-Time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, health oversight (medications), transportation to activities, and lead devotions and chapel participation. They manage household routines, budgeting, and reporting, and will work a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. The role requires caring for 8–13 students, maintaining a safe, family-like living environment, and guiding academic, emotional, and social development, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
