Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. A two-person, married-couple role living on-campus in Mishawaka, IN, to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students in an on-site home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, guiding student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and managing budgeting and household reporting. The position follows a nine days-on, three days-off cycle with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living with the same students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive health/dental/vision insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-spouse role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
