Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a single student home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, paid training, relocation assistance, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to reside on-campus in student homes
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
