Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and family-like care for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel services, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role progresses from an initial nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed houseparent assignment, with two spouses working together in a on-site home, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive living environment conducive to students’ academic, emotional, and social development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotional activities and chapel services
- Two individual employment applications for consideration
