Job Summary
Full-Time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) live on-campus in student homes in Hershey, PA or Onslow County, NC and provide supervision, mentorship, household management, medications administration, transportation to activities, and participation in devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role follows a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule initially, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living arrangement. Responsibilities include supervising ~8–13 students, planning activities and devotions, budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a safe, structured family-like environment. Requires high school diploma or GED, two years of marriage, both spouses aged 27+, U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; total compensation per couple estimated around $168,000 annually when including housing and benefits; salary per person is $44,768.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
