Job Summary
Full-Time Flex Houseparents reside on campus in student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role progresses from initial placement with various student homes to a fixed houseparent assignment with the same group of students. The position requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27 or older, and willing to fulfill the two-person, on-campus living arrangement with a heavy emphasis on youth development and Judeo-Christian practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married status (legally married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working with youth
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role model expectations
