Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and activities for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include medication administration, transportation to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and following a nine-on / three-off duty schedule transitioning to a Placed Houseparent. Compensation is $44,768 per person (roughly $168,000 per couple) with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Requires two-year married status, both spouses 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse two-year marriage minimum
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Proficiency in leading devotions and Chapel services
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Certification to drive student vans
- Protestant/Judeo-Christian Chapel involvement allowed but proselytizing prohibited
- Experience with youth preferred
- Ability to relocate/living on campus
