Job Summary
Full-Time Flex Houseparents needed to live on campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, to supervise and mentor groups of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role. This two-person, married-couple position requires living on campus for a rotating nine-on/two-off schedule initially, with relocation assistance and paid training provided. The role emphasizes youth development, mentorship, faith-based activities, and maintaining a safe, structured home environment. Salary is paid per person with total compensation reflecting the couple’s combined pay, and benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, paid time off, and housing meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
