Job Summary
Two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/developing developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, managing household routines, budgeting/reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role. The position involves nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation assistance and paid training provided. Compensation is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits and housing.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
