Job Summary
Two-person married couple sought to serve as Full-Time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples will reside in on-campus student homes, provide daily supervision and mentorship to a group of approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and initially cover a nine-on/three-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same student group. Salary per person is $44,768 with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
