Job Summary
Two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School on a campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support for groups of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and managing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a single student home. Comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance are provided, with housing, meals on duty, utilities, and more included in total compensation. Both spouses must apply individually to be considered.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
