Job Summary
Two-person, on-campus Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School reside in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel services, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule and can transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students; includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
