Job Summary
Two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School campus. Married couples live in on-campus student homes, providing supervision, mentorship, and a structured family-like environment for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule initially involves nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive insurance, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse couple must apply individually
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Two-year marriage minimum for both spouses
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Proficiency in budgeting and reporting for household operations
