Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role as Full-Time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for approximately 8–13 students, including supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel services, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a stable home with the same group of students. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver's license, ability to become certified to drive student home vans, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Paid relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; both spouses must complete individual applications and be at least 27 years old to be considered.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role as mentor and model for students

- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pets: fish and one dog of approved breeds only
