Job Summary
Full-Time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School are a two-person married couple residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed houseparent role. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, activity planning, devotions, and ensuring student wellness. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; couples must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses must be 27 or older. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
