Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School and provide care, supervision, and guidance to a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. After an initial nine-on, three-off duty cycle, couples transition to a placed Houseparent role within a single student home. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off. Requirements include two years of marriage, both spouses age 27+, no more than three dependents, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to drive student vans, and a high school diploma or GED. Prolonged on-campus housing with a proselytizing-free, smoke-free, weapon-free campus and lifting up to 50 lbs are expected.
