Job Summary
Full-time, two-person Flex Houseparent couple living on-campus in student homes near Terre Haute, IN, to supervise and support 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and church Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. After a nine-on/three-off schedule, couples may transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Both spouses must complete individual applications; minimum two-year marriage required, both spouses must be 27+, HS diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and valid driver’s license with potential to drive student vans. Relocation assistance provided, on-site housing, meals, and utilities included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year married status for both spouses
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proficiency in supervising and mentoring students
- Ability to drive students to activities
- Serving as role models for students
