Job Summary
Two-person married couple are hired as Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off) and a total compensation around $168,000 per couple ($44,768 per person).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role for married couple
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading devotions and chapel services
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
