Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents are a two-person married couple who reside in on-campus student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, overseeing budgeting and house reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total couple compensation (~$168,000), comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training. The role requires youth-focused experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and compliance with campus policies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
